For my business card, i chose a theme with bright colors and projects so that it would attract the eye. I tried to make an organized layout with a fun background. The projects i chose were my favorites throughout the year and i wanted to have energetic expressions, hence the skydiver.

Rwanda Text Illustration

For my one word text illustration, i chose perseverance because i thought it was one of the main themes of the movie. Paul showed amazing perseverance by overcoming obstacles and never giving up. I chose pictures that show characters from the movie as well as other people that demonstrate acts of perseverance.

Hidden Object

For my hidden object, i chose to hide a bird somewhere in the rocks in this picture. The bird is similar to the greyish-blue color of the rocks, and i blended him in to try to make him almost transparent. Good luck:)

Final Color Wheel Stencil

For my second color wheel stencil, i used images that i took from around the school. The star cut-out is from a painting in the boys bathroom, and the inside of the stars is a picture of the bricks on the outside of western. I thought the rainbow gradient would go well with the color filters on the stars, and i tried to make the stroke on each star opposite of the background.

Color Wheel Stencil #1

For my first color wheel stencil, i chose to use cut-outs of a maple leaf. The background is the Canadian flag waving in the sky; i thought it would be appropriate with the maple leaf cut-out. The insides of the cut-outs are just a random tie-die background that i made with a variety of colors and different photo filters. This project is pretty cool because you get to choose whatever stencil or background you want- my next one will be better:)

Puppet warp text tutorial

For my third photoshop tutorial, i watched the video on puppet warping text by Dave Cross. In the video, Dave shows how you can play with words and make them sort of describe themselves. I like the video tutorials because i am more of a visual learner and it was very easy to understand. I think this is very useful in making banners or titles for things and just playing around with the different anchor points.

Photoshopuser.com tutorial

For my photshopuser.com tutorial, i chose the puppet warp tip by Matt Kloskowski. He showed me that if you take a picture and make it a specialized object before warping it, you can select specific anchor points where you want to bend the picture. I chose a picture of skydivers and moved their arms, legs, and torsos around to change their positions. This tutorial definitely makes the puppet warp tool a lot more effective in specific places.

Windows vista background tutorial

In replacement of one of my photoshopuser.com tutorials, i did a project from a tutorial i found on Stumble Upon. There were fifteen different light tutorials, and i chose the one that models the windows vista background. The original picture was of a futuristic city, but i blurred the photo and followed numerous steps of changing color pallets  and meshing to produce the final outcome, i think its pretty cool.

chocolate chair

For my practice chair project, i worked with my bestfriend hamilton and made a chocolate chair. We added a drop shadow and hopefully the next one will be better.

For my inside out project, i chose to use the moon as my object. I have always had an idea that the craters in the moon are like little entry-ways for aliens to go in and out, and all the lines on the moon are runways from where they land.. haha dont call me crazy. Anyways, the red background on the inside of the moon is like an extra-terrestrial city and then i put pictures of aliens watching us from inside of the moon.

Photo site review

I messed around on photofunia.com and thought it was pretty cool. It gives a variety of photo backgrounds and settings that you can import a photo into. It's a useful website because basically all you have to do is upload a picture and all the editing is done for you. From a brick wall to a painter's canvas, its all there. It seems like photofunia would be perfect for a teenage girl or someone who likes to edit all of their photos without doing any of the work. This would be a good website to link to your page because it shows people a little taste of what this class is about.

For my exam project, i chose pictures that relate to me and my hobbies. I have different athletes, movie characters, and landscape pictures to show what i love. I didnt really choose a particular pattern, i just wanted to make a stew of everything. By the way, i enjoyed this so thank you for making our exam interactive and fun.

For my abstract project, i went to that jacksonpollock website and played around on there. I thought of the thick, green line as the river of life and everything around it is just crazy stuff that happens throughout a person's life.
For my artist inspiration, i chose an artist from the ARTnews magazine who is a man by the name of Alexis Rockman. This is not the image in the magazine, but i searched him on google and this was my favorite painting. As you can see, his painting style is realism and i chose this picture because it seems like somewhere i would want to be.

For my visual puns, i wanted to choose original ideas and the first things that came into my head. I tried to find the best pictures of each object and put them together to make them look as real as possible. Im sure other people have used the same ones as me, but i promise i thought of them myself:)

Kaleidoscope

For my kaleidoscope project, i wanted to choose and image that was very colorful and expressive. The picture is of an amazon flower and i used the middle of the flower as the center of my work. The youtube tutorial made it pretty easy and i though this project came out well.

portrait

For my portrait, first i took a picture of myself doing a ghetto pose cause it really stands out. I messed around with the effects and found the ones that looked the coolest to me and varied the most. I thought this project was pretty cool.
